Pioneer burner replaced by Samsung P-ATA SH-S22A the new one only works in Roxio and not in Nero like the Pioneer did. Anybody know why. thanx.
Tried 2 of the Samsungs units bought from different shops, both would not work in Nero. Again put back the Pioneer and it worked strightaway.

Your version of nero came with your Pioneer drive so its been stripped down to only work with the Pioneer. You need a new full version of nero.

Make sure you set the jumper in the Samsung the same as the pioneer. Am using the same Samsung burner with Nero 6.6.0.18 which works flawlessly. That is an IDE burner and your settings should be in the DMA mode and NOT in the transfer mode.
