The buttons s,d,g,h,z,v,b,m , capslock and the spacebar do not work. First when I pressed a button other text would come up like if I pressed l it would look like this ku5l;p. After that stopped by itself those buttons stopped working. Im using the onscreen keyboard to write this. My laptop is less then a year old please help.

Thanks for the rude advice but I saw that answer many times while searching on how to fix this problem. I was hoping for something better here. Im not in America though I bought the laptop there so your answer is no help.

see if does same in safemode & if not then do a system restore to before the problem showed up.
Clean the keys. Remove the dead cat(s). If not effective - take it in for service.

If you saw "that answer many times while searching" please explain to me how not being in America could make ANY difference to the actual solution?????

I guess if you bought the comp in America, but your no longer in America, getting it repaired under warranty may be an issue. I wouldnt take anything apart unless your absolutely sure there is no Warranty or service plan that covers it. If your certain its not covered you could remove keyboard (google Brand/ Model, may even have step by step vid on youtube) make sure ribbon is inserted correctly and try to clean. More than likely you will have to replace the keyboard, but doing it yourself isnt very hard and will save you alot of $$$
