Vista Ultimate: computer doesnt recognize new set of DVDs in the drive...sometimes. It has played two of them on random occasions; theyre fine in a

Windows 7 computer. No error message, typically the drive shows as empty and Windows crashes and I have to remove the battery to restart. WGO?

Check for any flags under your Device Manager.

Update to clear the flags.

No flags? Try uninstalling the drivers on your disk drive. Reboot. System should reinstall the drivers fresh on the reboot. Then check for flags. Try discs again.
