What is the quickest and easiest way to transfer all my files and data from one hard-drive to another?

I am upgrading my stand-alone media player and would like to transfer all the contents from the old one on to the new media hard-drive?

Quickest way would be to directly connect the old hard drive to the new computer and copy them.

Alternate: Copy to a device, ie. flash drive, tec. and then copy to the new hard drive. Other ways are possible. Do you need an exhaustive listing??

no! just the quickest! i thought there might be a device that would enable hard-drive to hard-drive transfer in a matter of minutes not hours.
