May either be poor rip & conversion or a fake, reading comments would tell you before downloading or the audio is in digital & outside the range of your sound system if its an old analogue type
I believe that scorpNZ is running into the same thing that I often do with .mkz files on my 5.1 surround sound system - sound effects and some off-screen dialog sound great - but when the main characters speak, there is no sound from them. And I mean none. Its not faint, its missing the entire track. Since dialog usually comes from the center channel, it seems as if the entire center channel is missing, but there IS sound coming from my center channel when I put my ear up to it - just no dialog. Ive been trying to find an answer to this for at least a year... in most cases, I just delete the entire downloaded movie and try downloading a different file, which usually results in a complete soundtrack, although usually at lower quality, since its high def sound that seems to cause the problem. Why, oh why, do we need all these hundreds and thousands of compressers, decompressers, splitters, etc... we could have simplified this whole thing greatly if we could have avoided the "codec wars"... but as usual, we didnt, and what were left with is a bewildering assortment of audio and video codecs that are almost impossible to figure out. Very frustrating.
