Why wont my Laptop, detect other computers connected to the same network?

I have a Windows 7 Ultimate Laptop, and a Windows Vista Home Basic Computer, and i believe theyre both setup correctly for network file sharing. The laptop has Kaspersky and the Computer has AVG but is using Windows firewall.
The network consists of a Modem/Router connected to another router. Both the computer and the laptop are connected to the Router

file sharing is turned on on BOTH the computer and the laptop, and selected folders are being shared. The PS3 can pickup and play media from my Laptop, but the computer and laptop can not see each other on the network

I had to create a shortcut and use the UNC paths and works fine

Must be some Vista problem?? Check firewall settings. I am using XP and Win7 at home. All fine there.
