EFI Byte Code
The EFI Byte Code (EBC) is a processor-independent device driver environment that is defined in the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) specification. UEFI provides for architecture-independent device drivers by use of an interpreter for any EBC images loaded into the environment.
