DVB-T is an acronym for Digital Video Broadcasting - Terrestial and means basically the (mostly used in Europe) digital TV broadcasting method that's done via terrestial networks -- normally existing analogue TV antennas are used to receive the transmissions.

Other digital TV broadcasting technologies developed by the DVB Project are DVB-S and DVB-C.
