My wife and I just bought the new black Wii about two weeks ago and love it. The only thing I wish it had, and Im sure a lot of other people do too, is hdmi support. I also wish it had a better variety of games besides the Mario ones. Dont get me wrong, I love the Mario games, but I guess it just feels like its lacking to me. My wife loves it but I guess since Im more of a gamer than she is she doesnt really think its missing anything. Online is awesome, I love playing Mario Kart online lol and the classic games you can buy are great. I need to get the nes/snes marios asap. Anyways, its great for parties and the games are fairly cheap. If youre looking for a fun cheaper form of gaming than this is the perfect console.

I loved my wii for the first 6 months i had it, from there it just went down. now all games are for little kiddies and nintendo just isnt realizing how cool the wii would be if the had games for all age ranges. the wii zapper would be amazing if they used it correctly.

The last video game I played was in 1966: so the Wii, to me, is interactive virtual reality hardware for my television. Both hardware and software amaze me, for the price. Previously bedridden, I worked through the back pain for its 'health' program; afterward, though drenched with sweat, I found myself without back pain. Everyday now I'm tracking my scores at billiards, kendo, golf, tennis, table tennis, boxing, &c, and hope to start walking soon. The Wii's possibilities have just started.

Its tons of fun at first but after several hours its boring and id prefer PS3 or an Xbox 360 over the wii any day.

I've had a wii since the day it came out and I am one very happy gamer. I've owned an Xbox 360 and compare it to the wii it's a heap more enjoyable. Sure you get the good graphics and HDMI output. But when it comes down to it, it's all about the fun and that's what wii delvers. With fantastic games the whole family can enjoy. Apparently Xbox has some of the best games well not for a younger audience. Gears of War, Halo, COD4 and other war based games are fine to play on your own but if I were to invite guests around I sure wouldn’t play it with them. I would highly disagree with ville30’s point “Poor games, poor graphics. Too kiddie centred, lousy motion controls that seem to be forced on every game. Ridiculous friend code multiplayer system. No DVD support. WORST CONSOLE EVAR! Get an Xbox 360 NOW!” For one no DVD support, are you kidding what about DVDX, geexbox and mplayer (read the forums). The multiplayer system is pretty easy and at least you don’t get banned for just about everything. Also the wii games are meant to be family orientated and not about shooting peoples guts out. As well as that when you get the wii you get everything you need included unlike the 360 where you need headsets, HDD, wireless ect. When you start getting homebrew on this console that’s when it shows its true spirit. It has a huge library of homebrew apps which you could use for emulating older consoles, for enjoying your media library or just playing good old home- brew games. All up wii is a fantastic console with great features and fun games. Sure it has it floors but it’s fun, fast and very interactive which I always look forward to playing!

Pros:
Very fun motion controlled gameplay. Being able to replay old games like Star Fox 64 is a plus. Very small and stylish design. Doesn't overheat. Very quiet. Wireless capabilities.

Cons:
Have to buy classic controller for some downloadable games.
Graphics not next-gen. May be a pro, but this console is best played locally with friends and family. Price may be a little more expensive than what its worth. Have to buy USB adapter for LAN (wired) connection.

Review:
Although the Nintendo Wii may not have amazing graphics like the Xbox 360 or PS3, its inovated design, integrated technology, and amazing gameplay make you forget about the graphics.

It's a fun and very interactive console for the whole family. Although the graphics perhaps can never measure up to the 360's and PS3's. Overall, it provides a good little leisure time for both kids and adults alike.

A nice console, although the reaction times aren't very good. I prefer the browser on the wii over the ps3, but in the end it is my ps3 and xbox 360 that get the most use.

This is a great product I have to admit but only for the first two months. I got it about 2 years ago and Loved it for about a month then the second month It got boring. After I hacked it I used it a bit more but the games where just so boring I had to sell it. I brought a PS3!! - good buy I must say! Allow 360 its for people who want new 360 every six months.

I think the wii is an amazing console. I have a 360, and it gets hardly the use the wii does. Personally I think the xbox has poor games compared, most popular titles like COD4 and Gears of War...is that a joke?? most popular because you have to follow the rules of everyone else. My wii's multi-region, i can play games from all different countries. Japanese translated games, are simply brilliant. Who cares for the motionplus and movement controls, thats not what the wii is all about, the wii is about fun. A lot of the less well know games on the wii are stupidly hard!! All these people who bang on about the wii being just a family fun console, are wrong!!! Learn about the wii and you'll see there are hundreds of titles which are as good, if not better then the xbox...Like all the games in the Tales and Mario series!!

Well lets face it the motion is not exactly what Nintendo said it was going to be. Even with the motion plus it still goes out of sync often. The graphics are lacking and Ive NEVER LIKED THE NAME. lol

But I must say this is a good system to own. Highly modable TONS and tons of Homebrew apps out there to suit anyone's needs. And when the games are made right like Mario, Tigerwoods 10, Zelda ect its a really good experience.

When the Wii first launched, everybody knew it was going to win the console war... But as the Wii gets older, it has gotten worse. SSBB was the last game released that amazed me, and that was a while back. The graphics are not the best, but what can you expect from a console that still uses Single Layer media. If you want a console to do a good modding to, here you go! next to the Original XBOX, the Wii is the best console to mod.

The price of the wii is just perfect considering the unique features it has. The games for wii are very well devloped to make the best use of the motion sensetivity.

Ok i agree that the graphics aren't too good but it is the feeling of you being in the game, it is modern and interactive.

I wonder for some of the games which use the motion movements and wonder how other consoles make their games. Could you imagine pressing so many buttons just to turn round or shoot. But in the wii it's one to one.

This in my opinion is the best console on the market, with the latest features.

The Wii is very limited in games. What little games it has that are worth playing are wonderful; there just isn't very many of them. Also, it does not have an Xbox Live counterpart. I find it hard to compare this product to the Xbox or PS3 because it seems to have a completely different market.

Great console! Very fun to play when you have friends over. Pretty good library of games (will get better over time) and built in wifi really make it something. The only downfall is that there is no HDD which eventually becomes a problem. Yet for the price it is definitely wort it!

This console WILL get boring in 1 month or so. Getting a PS3/360 will be better. Though this entertains me just a little bit now.

The graphics aren't great, but they're not "Crap", as many 360/PS3 owners have told me... They aren't as good, of course, but they aren't offensive to the eye.

There aren't as many great official games for it as the 360, but combined with the Wiiware and Virtual Console libraries it at least beats the PS3's library of exclusives.

Once you can run Homebrew on it, it's one of my favorite consoles, the emulators are great! NES, SNES, Master System, Genesis, Turbografx, NeoGeo, Gameboy/Color/Advance, GameGear, and hell, PSX, N64 and Saturn emulators are in development!

I was at first disappointed with my Wii hooked up to an HDTV, and purchased an Xbox 360. Fast forward a year, and the 360 collects dust. There are a lot of original titles for sale, including downloads. Nintendo hasn't forgotten about having fun with more than one player (sans online) and this is a great party machine. Also, pick up some component cables if you have an HDTV, set the Wii to 480p with widescreen presentation, and you'll forget that some games aren't in "HD".

I grew up with Nintendo and loved all their consoles until the gamecube. lol.. guess that makes only 2 systems I enjoyed... Anyways I dont care for the Wii too much. I played a buddy of mines and it sucked.. I think the graphics look like crap. Its over rated. You have PS3 for true gamers and then you have the Wii for those that couldnt afford a PS3 and/or wanted a console that didnt require any skill what so ever that even grandma could play...but hey I will give those that bought a Wii some respect... for not buying a XCrap 360......

Wii is a dream console. Graphics don't mean much to me, gameplay and the other factors are much important and Wii rocks on those factors. I can't imagine having more fun with PS3/X360.

This is a very fun console. Good price too. The only problem I have with it is that most games look horrible on by 1080P... They definitely could have done a better job with that.

If you like lots of fun over graphics then I suggest you get one of these... Otherwise get a PS3. I have both :P
