We have added a new guide to our guide section that shows you how to copy a DVD movie to DVDR using DVDREasy. DVDREasy uses a lot of freeware programs to help complete the task but also gives you the option of using the Cinema Craft Encoder if you are lucky enough to have it. If you haven't got CCE, then you have the option of using HCEnc; a high quality freeware encoder. HCEnc comes bundled with the DVDREasy installation. To maximise output quality, the program does not copy the menus or extra's from the DVD, only the main movie with one audio track (not re-encoded) and you can also choose one subtitles stream.
The guide also uses DVD Decrypter to rip the DVD files to a HDD, removing any CSS copy protection. The guide also shows you how to use Nero Burning Rom to burn the resulting DVD (although DVDREasy can burn it automatically for you if you want to choose that option.) Hopefully we will see nothing but improvement from this excellent tool, so expect to see some updates to the guide.
