Prototype new iPod Touch video leaks

Thanks to the XM radio show Covino and Rich, the world now has video of what appears to be a third generation iPod Touch, which includes a camera and a microphone, two highly anticipated additions.
In proof of the authenticity, the hosts show a 2009 copyright and a chrome back which does not yet have any logos or legal notices.

From the video it seems to be the biggest touch screen device so far. But not nearly on the scale to be a netbook. Maybe they will shell out a new os as well.

What is the big deal? Most mp3 player had had microphones for years. Most cell phones have cameras. They are a leader in the games area but are falling behind in the basics.

That kind of turns me away from this iPod. You think by now they can at least use a cover that doesn't scratch so easily anymore. Maybe so that they can make even more money on selling protective cases.

my point exactly

mez - "most cell phones have cameras" very good. this sentence would make complete sense... if we were talking about the iphone, this is not a phone, it is an mp3 player with a camera, how many of those do they have around? When i go on a trip id prefer to take 1 device instead of 2 or more =/

LordRaxa, then this is a must buy for you. Maybe you don't carry a cell phone around with you or must every device you carry have a camera?
