Early iPad adopters use their device more often than newer buyers

Early iPad adopters use their device more often than newer buyers The NPD Group has said this week that early adopter iPad owners are the most satisfied with their device and also use it the most often.
Early adopters are consumers that purchased the tablet at launch, or within 60 days, as defined by NPD.

On the other hand, more recent purchasers are much less active with their iPad.

A full 80 percent of early adopters said they were "very satisfied" with their device, as compared to 65 percent for buyers after launch.

The survey also says that early adopters use the device for over 18 hours per week, and that time is actually increasing for over 30 percent of those owners.

"Clearly early adopters love their iPads and are finding increasing opportunities to use them," says NPD.

I bought my iPad at launch and love the hell out of it. I use it for reading, movies, Netflix and games on a daily basis.
Keep up the good work Steve Jobs.

The reason the early adopters are "satisfied" is because they're all Apple fanboys. Those are the same people who are going to buy the next iPad when it launches and rave about how good it is. Until the next one comes out...The cycle never ends for an Apple fanboy.

it's interesting that you would single out apple fans, as i would assume a fan of any brand of anything would continue to be satisfied with the upgraded versions of their product. one could just as accurately state that owners of a blackberry or droid tablet would be satisfied with not only the current version they own, but the next version that comes out, and so on and so forth.
