The next Asus tablet is quad-core, says chairman

Asus chairman Jonney Shih has noted today that the company's upcoming Transformer tablet update will run on a Nvidia "Kal-El" quad-core processor.
The Transformer Prime will launch on November 9th and be just 8.3mm thick.

Shih would not give any other details but to say that the Prime will include a USB and mini-HDMI port, as well.

The Prime will look and feel similar to the company's current EeePad Transformer, except for the updated processor.

Likely, the Prime will also come with Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 installed.

Shih says the company hopes to outsell all other Android tablet makers with its line of Transformers.

Unless Afterdawn knows something no one else in the tech community does, November 9th is NOT the release date; it's just a date that ASUS is promising more details on their tablet. "More details on the device will be formally announced Nov. 9", -Chairman Jonney Shih said. I hope Afterdawn is right though!!!

With ya' Mysttic. Even if it isn't released Nov. 9, maybe for Xmas. Either way, this is what we have been waiting for.
