New rumored Wii U spec sheet is likely BS

Wii U Daily has posted a spec sheet for the upcoming console from an "undisclosed developer."
Unfortunately for fans, these rumored specs are not all that impressive and the source seems to have mis-worded a good portion of the report.

According to the source, the Wii U will have a quad-core, 3-GHz CPU from IBM, a 45-nanometer PowerPC chip. This is strange because IBM has suggested the Wii U will run on a Power7 CPU, which would be significantly more powerful than the rumored chip.

Additionally, the console will have 768 megabytes of embedded DRAM and an "unknown 40-nanometer GPU from ATI." This is once again strange as eDRAM is extremely expensive and the current Wii only has 3MB of it, says PCM.

If accurate, the specs will place the Wii U squarely ahead of the PS3 and Xbox 360, each of which are over a half-decade old, but not by much.

"IBM has suggested the Wii U will run on a Power7 CPU"

Suggested??? Nintendo's own website has said so...well, POWER7-based, not the same POWER7 CPU IBM uses for its computers.

I dont quite understand why nintendo always provides lower graphics with their consoles/portables , i read that the WII U will be slightly better in graphics than the ps3 . Are year or so after its released sony and microsoft would release some 10 times that of the WII U's graphics.

Honestly I not entirely sure what MS or Sony plans to do for their consoles; it may not be necessary for them to up the GPU that much considering Nintendo proved people will by a crap system only cause it "looks" fun. Which is the old saying, a game doesn't need to look top of the line beautiful to be fun. (Take Zelda : Skyward Sword, it's fun and it's only Wii).

With reports that MS is focusing on a kinect based system for their next gen 720, the hardware may come lacking. Here's to hoping rumors are true and we see something next week at CES. If nothing else we'll definitely hear more come E3.

i agree with 3MUK with the wii u specs. Even with that specs, i dont think harcore gamers will switch to it since, the graphics are only slightly better.
