E3 2012: Sony shows off incredible 'The Last of Us' gameplay footage Sony saved the best for last today during its E3 press conference, showing off amazing gameplay footage for the upcoming "The Last of Us" blockbuster.
The game, developed by Naughty Dog, is a post-apocalyptic third-person survival action-adventure video game with two main protagonists, 14-year old Ellie and the older Joel.

In the footage/trailer, we follow both characters as they fight their way through an abandoned hotel.

Making the gameplay so incredible is the uniqueness of each situation, the subtleties of the environment/atmosphere and the actual fighting itself.

Looks like it might be fun for a few hours. Probably no replay value, so they will have to do something to prevent people from reselling the $60 game after they have gotten the whole 5 hours out of it.

Well, if the dialogue and gameplay - as it appears from the trailer - is as fluid and environment-driven as it seems, I think it will have phenomenal replay value.
