T-Mobile does away with 200MB data plan for new subscribers

T-Mobile does away with 200MB data plan for new subscribers As of last week, T-Mobile has done away with their existing 200MB data plan for all new smartphone activations.
The new minimum is 2GB, which is the standard for the other carriers.

For existing customers, you can keep your grandfathered 200MB plan, but all new subscribers will need to adhere to the new policy.

T-Mobile says the new policy is in place because "modern smartphones consume data at a faster rate" and "2GB will protect consumers from unexpected overages."

200MB? What the hell can you do with 200 M B? I don't even think you can get all your minimum standards downloaded in 200MB. I mean a firmware update, couple of games, Facebook coughs up a dozen updates & your email belches out a few erectile commercials & a trip to Bermuda and 1 cat video - I'd say you're screwed for sure.

What, all that before you cross the threshold of the store I'd say.
