Here are the specs for the upcoming Nvidia Tegra 4

Thanks to Chiphell we have the specs for Nvidia's upcoming Tegra 4 processor.
Codenamed 'Wayne,' the smartphone and tablet processor will feature the same quad-core setup as the Tegra 3 plus the fifth ninja 'battery saver' core.

The architecture itself will be a Cortex-A15, and the GPU will be "72-core," with 6 times the power of the current chips.

Furthermore, and most importantly, the Tegra 4 uses the 28nm manufacturing process, meaning battery life will be improved significantly.

Finally, the processor has support for USB 3.0, 4K video and resolutions up to 2,560 x 1,600.

Tegra 3 companion core held that processor back terribly, I will pass. Compare any tegra 3 versus samsung quad core processor, I have 6 months experience with both and if you could make the tegra 3 bypass that sleeper core then it would be a better processor. I will avoid any tablet that comes with the tegra 4.

I think you're barking at the wrong stalking-horse.

The Samsung Exynos quads are also a lot newer than the Tegra 3; it's only natural that they'd have better performance (hence the new Tegra 4 ^^'). You should check out relevant benchmarks - once they're released - before you make such an uninformed assumption. For example, the Tegra design is very power-efficient.

I'm thinking this is looking pretty sweet. Way more power then one might need in a phone. I too would be concerned about the power saving core as this often degrades performance and offer huge lags between tasks always sleeping and waking up again. Green isn't normally a good thing these days.
