will people own the copyright on recorded gameplay videos???????.im just asking cause i made a video from super mario world (put it on youtube) and nintendo sent me a copy right notice.
also got videos from a few other games but none been flagged for copyright.

Will you own said content you post up: likely not, and if you tried to do it for profit without Sony's permission they would like take the content down. However this is like a fan service for fans to post up content showing off your ability to play games. Could you do it in the form of a review or guide? Sure: however, content would be free, you can't profit off it by advertising or charging consumer fees. So long as you abide by that, then you'll be fine.

Nintendo on the other hand claim it's because they don't want content spoiling the game for others who have yet to try it. My guess is they don't want content to lure consumers away, cause they feel a video would not lure consumers in but instead scare away potential consumers from trying their product based on if it "looks bad to play,". However; what Nintendo fails constantly to understand is consumers were made to critique their experience in all forms of entertainment, it's how the best products get pushed around, through consumer networking. If your product sucks, maybe you shouldn't have made it to begin with, and that would be Nintendo's fault, not the fault of someone who critiques harshly. If your product is awesome, word of mouth will fly it's awesome, and your product will sell regardless of what spoilers were advertised online. Hence it isn't the hardware or software that will fail Nintendo, but their attitude that is currently on the wrong path. (Like when they claim they are taking story mode out of the next Smash Bros. cause someone leaked a video of it on the internet). It brushes them off as whiny, and it's their fault in the end that spoiler got on the net as they didn't secure their content enough to not be leaked.
