Latest Pokemon titles are fastest 3DS games to reach 1 million sales

Pokemon X and Y, the latest games in the blockbuster franchise, are the fastest ever to reach 1 million sales on the 3DS handheld, says Nintendo.
The titles took just one day to reach the milestone, beating out first-party winners like Mario Kart 7 which took a few weeks.

Nintendo offered a little bit of everything in the new games, including 3D battles, legacy Pokemon, new "mega-evolutions" and just general updates to the gameplay.

Check this interesting infographic for more on the release and milestones of the game:

Nintendo doesn't get it yet do they: to attract global investors they need to be affront on this information the minute they have it. They are so secretive holding onto past ways it's infuriating at times. Meanwhile they still can't get it right for Wii U.

Nintendo need to understand the only reason some get a DS is for Pokemon so bring it to other platforms!

Would you pay, for example, $30 to get a new Pokemon game on iOS or Android? Honest question to gauge interest.

I'd stop buying Pokemon if it went digital-only at that price. Even $5 would be a tough sell to me.

I myself personally would not; but others likely would. It would all depend on what they released, (port, remake, or new entry altogether: classic pokemon RPG, stadium, pokepark, etc.) Those would be the influences on if it decides it would sell.

Nintendo claimed they would never bring a true portable RPG Pokemon to consoles because it would lack the interaction/socialism they see on their handhelds, yet they fail to notice or care that fans of the series would still flock, whether multi-player was accessible over their network or not.
