Apple hits another record: Over 4 million iPhone 6, 6 Plus pre-ordered in first 24 hours Apple has proudly boasted of a new record for their iPhone sales, with 4 million iPhone 6 and 6 Plus pre-ordered in the first 24 hours of availability.
As always, Apple does not have enough supply to keep up and most iPhone 6 Plus orders are shipping in mid-October (or later) now directly from Apple. Carriers and Apple Stores will have some additional supply on the 19th, adds Apple.

"iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are better in every way, and we are thrilled customers love them as much as we do," said Tim Cook, Apple's CEO. "Pre-orders for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus set a new record for Apple, and we can't wait to get our best iPhones yet into the hands of customers starting this Friday."

The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are the largest iPhones yet, featuring 4.7 and 5.5-inch screens, respectively. The phones are available in 10 countries this Friday followed by another 20 next week.

My iPhone works great, it is the best phone I have ever owned. Simply put I never have to worry about freezing or random restarts. I don't need all this fancy processor stuff, but I have noted my iPhone 5 has worked just as fast/well as a friends S3. Plus I think they come off with a clean and professional look.

To be fair, they would have sold at least 3.8 million pre-orders if they had taken a dump in a box as long as that box was white with an Apple logo on it.

Hhhmmm, trying to see how many "freeze" or "restarts" I have needed on my Android phone......oh yeah, that was easy. None.

And just what "fancy processor stuff" do you not need? You mean the actual power to do more things and do them better? Do you still heat your house with steam because you don't need all that fancy furnace stuff? LOL

Clean professional? Naw, childish and pretentious actually. Ever notice how only Apple owners have to say "I used my iPhone!!" I never tell people "I used my Razr Maxx HD!!!" It's just a device, I say "my phone" or "my tablet". They just need to work, not be a status symbol.

3x the price for hardware from 2 generations old Android phones? Thanks, I'll pass.

Yep.

This one was really hyped f'sure. Ah well, it will probably be a revelation for apple fans... not so much for other users and those with payWave.
