aria2 is a command line download utility that supports BitTorrent, MetaLink, FTP, SFTP, HTTP and HTTPS.
It is designed to be lightweight with low memory usage and low CPU usage. It supports all the features you would want in a BitTorrent client, including DHT, PEX, Encryption, Magnet URI, Web-Seeding, Selective Downloads, Local Peer Discovery and UDP tracker.
Remote control is supported via SON-RPC (over HTTP and WebSocket) and XML-RPC.
NOTE: For 64-bit Windows, download aria2 (64-bit) instead.
