NeoModus' Direct Connect offers a complete set of tools to locate any type of media.
Unlike other impersonal, server-driven file-sharing networks, Direct Connect offers a community-oriented, open, user-controlled network. Moreover, Direct Connect's network architecture is built on a peer-to-peer foundation; users run, control, and maintain the network. Users are able to share any type of file - absolutely no restrictions. These files are easily viewed through a familiar organized windows-explorer interface. To conveniently access the plethora of files, advanced searching capabilities and filters are provided. All of these features are integrated into Direct Connect's unique communal file-sharing system.
The Direct Connect network is the best way to share your files. The DC++ actually has better functions that this original client, and is usually recommended. Direct Connect now has some of the features of DC++.
Direct Connect 2 only runs on NT based Windows operating systems.
DC++ is easy as hell to learn and you don't have to download anything but a client.Bittorrent is a bandwidth hog. You have way more control over how and what you download with DC++.I'm not sure what the original direct connect was like but all I use is zion++ for a client and it blows away any other p2p program i've ever used and i've used them all.
complete rubbish .. too hard to use .. you have o download loads of other stuff to be able to use .. people don't have time to configure 100 things.. we want something simple and striaght to the point .. this is rubissh AVOID
