According to multiple reports, the second-generation Google Nexus 10 is already in the works and will offer a nice performance upgrade from the current model.
The new device would feature a quad-core processor and an 8-core Mali T678 GPU. The upgrades would help the tablet render all of the pixels with less lag, which has been an issue of some users of the first-generation model. Google's Nexus 10 features a 2,560 x 1,600 resolution.
Nothing else will really change for the next tablet, say the sources, with the exception of some minor cosmetic changes and some movement under the hood.
Despite being a dual-core, the current model uses ARM's Cortex-A15 architecture, meaning performance gaps between the dual-core processor and quad-core processors at the time were negligible.
There was no word on a release date or even quarter.
