	If you're having problems playing your self-burned DVDR (whether they are DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW or DVD+RW discs) movies with your stand-alone DVD player (the thingy that directly connects to your TV, not your PC), there are various reasons why this might happen: 1) You have simply copied your existing movies, such as AVIs, .mpg movies, etc to a DVDR disc and thought that they should work when played with your DVD player. They wont. You need to convert your AVI/MPG/etc movies to a DVD-Video format first. For more information, please read these FAQ entries. 2) Your DVD player simply wont support recordable DVDR discs. Some, specially bit older, DVD players just wont support DVDR discs. End of discussion, there's nothing you can do if this is the case. You might want to check whether this is the case or not by visiting DVDRHelp's DVD player list. 3) Your DVD player doesn't like the media (==the blank disc) you've used. Some players are rather picky about this one -- some prefer to have only DVD-R discs, some just DVD+RW disc. Some work with DVD+R or DVD-R, but require specific brand. 1.4.1.	Menu's I have created with DVD-Lab or TMPGEnc DVD Author don't play on my DVD Player, why?
