Review of Asus M2N-MX SE motherboard rev 2.10G:
Very poor image quality to a high-end CRT.
Disappointed in the Nvidia GPU (DAC) and/or the motherboard design/layout
between the GPU and the VGA connector.
Background: using a known good high-end CRT (Sony G500), the m2n-mx-se
mboard gives a blurry image at 1600x1200 @85Hz. Other GPUs in same
reso/freq to same monitor are noticeably better.
I know it is not the CRT's fault because using another computer with
a Nvidia TNT PCI card at the same reso/freq and same screen image,
changing the monitor connector from one PC to the other (approximating
a side-by-side comparison) shows to more than one person the Asus image
was noticably more blurry.
Serial number on reviewed board is 76MOAIR50859.
