The Studio 1558 has been an amazing and reliable laptop for me. Considering I built it with many upgrades it was well worth the extra money. You get what you pay for as with anything. Between my home computers and work computers I have used more than 15 different Dell computers (laptops and desktops) for over 10 years and have NEVER had any issues with them. The quality and construction has always been great. Just lucky? I dont think so. They are just VERY reliable. This is just my experience with them. I feel you get what you build, meaning if you build a computer on their website with the cheapest parts (processors, memory, etc.) and dont choose any upgrades dont expect it to run the fastest and smoothest.
