I don't know about customer service but it's not a big deal to me, I fix my electronics when something is wrong. Player works great, picked a store model up for $115 bucks before they went out of stock. Doesn't have BD-Live but I'm fine with just watching the movie as it is. Sounds great with 5.1 Surround and looks great with HDMI. Good inexpensive Bluray player.
