good quality lens very sharp images clean, the bad very poor in low lighting get external lighting any thing be 1.7 lux for get it is not viable, it dose not mater if you use SD memory or mini DVD same, downside it is that software encoding hard view if media is not finalize by the camera. Most use adobe quick time to import video or use USB cable or import AV cable can not use directly of the media, at least in windows have to try Linux or mac have not time to covert in dose OS.
Purchased in January 2008 in San Andres Island on vacation.
DVD has to formate in camera 2 modes HD/VCD you choose HD it is only 30 min of video. That is bad need lots of mini DVD's , all in all very good, downside is the formate of encoding video, and that it has to close the mini DVD for external viewing, ho one more thing if buy it get more batteries and charger, get 2400,3200 amp the 700 that it come with it is not that long lasting 35 to 57 min if you waiting for that shot, so get batteries you will need then, the camera is very lite, so if you are taking still at long range you will need tripod, to lite on the hands it move to much, it has good stabilizer but for shots, I would recommended that you use tripod. It a very good zoom clear and sharp have not a zoom as sharp in long time with out it being pro edition camera, took a shot at full zoom 150 meters of horses at full gallop can not tell the difference of a similar shot taken at 20 meters both movie and stills.

I had this scanner for well over a year and has done everything it was advertised in dose a berry good scan in general, high quality scanning over 9600 DPI it is little slow but very clear and most of all good color balance, not like hp 3800,6300 were the hue was all way of from pre scans to actual scan in pre scan hp looked fine but it was all ways of by 30 point in the green. On the Epson Perfection V100 it is always on the mark or where do crop it all ways on the money. Software in not that great but if are doing some heavy editing this is not for you, it dose the basic well, film scanning it could do better with more back light but with good software it can be balance out, in all it has been a berry good scanner in years time verse's hp that died in 3 months in moderate use, I purchased at newegg for $39.00 in October 2008. software 3 out 5 suite it good if and in one. Scanner function 4.5 out 5 slow in high resolution.
