"I have not seen the picture from any other converter box so I can't offer any comparison, but after plugging this one in I was impressed with the results.

I have a roof-mounted antenna, no cable, and no satellite. Stations that were strong before I don't notice much of a change, but some of the weaker signals come in stronger and clearer. There is some lag when flipping channels that I think is common among digital TVs. I think the remote control is poorly designed with the channel up/down buttons very small compared to the other navigation buttons that aren't active in normal use."
