"I bought this item at Wal Mart at the end of May and now it is dead. My daughter has the same model converter box and it also died. When I contacted Wal-Mart about an even exchange, it was past the 90 day return policy. However, the service counter did mention that many of these units are defective and have been returned. Are we also bailing out RCA? - poor product and unreliable, inferior quality, losing sound, changing languages without any input from me, and video constantly breaking up. It has been a hassle and headache. I have written RCA and the FCC, besides visiting with the FCC on the phone. So far I have received no positive results - and supposedly this unit has a year warranty. Does anyone have a phone # for RCA?"
