Never used it never will. Not anything wrong with it but its just as i like to get my DVD's the old fashion way. As in go to the video rental store and get it that way.

I have both a Netflix account and a Blockbuster account and based on my experience with both companies, I have to say that Netflix is pretty fast at shipping DVDs. Blockbuster throttles a lot more than Netflix does.

ya...give me a 3 at a time plan thats 15 even WITH tax and we will talk till then,stfu....

luckily for everyone netflix is only a few steps away from what i consider to be the sweet spot price for downloaded movies. right now you can download 5 movies for 5 bucks, but yes, they come with DRM. obviously DRM doesnt do anything if the person who wants to rip the stream has the IQ of a chimp or higher and can perform a google search (or afterdawn forum search:)) but i dont like going through all that trouble, and what if you comp hicups wile your ripping?

i said it before and ill say it again, i vow to stop downloading movies for free when i can download the entire movie, WITHOUT DRM, for me to keep on my HD forever, for the cost of 1 dollar. same goes for music but with the price of 1 cent. how come a downloaded song costs the same as a downloaded movie these days? curious.

I went to spunway to download my movie , no DRM there . it costed me $2.50 to download mp4, I have used netflix but just a dollar off?? and I still have to rip it>?

Going to the store is great for new releases, and for classic older releases. But I've found that the local Blockbuster store does not carry a lot of certain types of content. Their inventory is limited and spotty. For instance, you can't rent shows like Stargate SG-1 or Stargate Atlantis, Cheers, Taxi, Mission Impossible Seasons 1 & 2, or shows my daughter and her friends like such as the O.C. and One Tree Hill. When they do carry a TV series such as 24, they actually have missing episodes in the series, so you might be able to rent some shows from a season, but not all. I go to the local Blockbuster to get new releases of current and classic movies and just a few of the most popular TV shows, and I use Blockbuster Online for all other TV shows and movies. Since they let you return EVERY online rental to the store for a free in-store rental, you actually get twice as many rentals as you pay to rent online. I pay to rent four-at-a-time online, but get four more free in-store rentals when I return them to the store, essentially doubling what I pay for. Netflix can't match that, and so will lose this war eventually, once more people realize what Blockbuster Online is really offering (twice as many films as you are paying to rent). So it's not really a dollar-for-dollar comparison because Blockbuster actually gives you twice as many movies for the SAME price.

Daughter gave us a Christmas present at NetFlix, and didn't tell us about it. At first i thought we'd got our card slammed on some online purchase, but 2-months later (after complaining, and not finding any charges against card) found that it was a 3-month present. (redface). Have to say NetFlix was a well run operation, the disks played well, and returns was painless, but we let the thing run out. Too busy with other things to be tied down to a rental schedule of any kind. If i were to patronize an online movie rental it would probably be NetFlix. But until i get too busy or too old to go to the local video rental store that won't be anytime soon.

Netflix is cool cause now you can watch 10 hours of free movies online per month and still receive unlimited movies in the mail. I usually can watch 8 movies by mail per month. That's a total of 13 movies per month or more for 10 bucks!

flgallag, you hit the nail on the head about blockbuster, I've used both netflix and blockbuster, blockbuster with store alone is not much to brag about, but with it on-line together with the store outways netflix by a mile.

My parents have a NetFlix account, I think I use it more then they do. I can't get the Doctor Who DVD's at the Blockbuster. So all in all not to bad. They need to expand their TV series DVD selection a little.

I've received a few broken disc from Netflix in the past, and they have always been good about getting a non-broken replacement to me. They never have charged me either for the defect. They may have only dropped the price by $1, but they still trust their customers. That is more than can be said about most companies out there.
