Halo 1 for me on the Xbox is a 6(above average,5 being average,they do not make 9's anymore,HL1 and Undying are 9's Halo is not),glitches and controls hold the game back,the PC version is a solid 8,Halo 2 is a 6 as well same damn issues altho on the PC its a 7 only because Halo 2 is incomplete(come on they rushed Halo 2 to death) and a ok at best port.

I have lil interest in Halo 3 they will most likely not improve the controls and Bioshock comes out soon... I'll wait 4 years and get Halo 3 on vistas replacement and run it on vista with a hack,like I am running Halo 2 PC on XP :P

Did I mention bioshock is coming out this month/next month???!?!?!?!?

BTW.....If I was going to kill 300-400 on a FPS.....Metroid Prime 3 would be it *drools*
I can't wait till they remake 1 and 2 for the wii's controls theres a 50-70 I'd be happy to give out for :X

Not that you aren't entitled to your own opinion or anything, but I'm sure most would disagree with you about Halo's controls sucking. Infact they kind of become the standard control scheme for FPSs.

Halo's controls aren't that bad. I still like the old Goldeneye controls, but a la TimeSplitters, where you don't need a seperate trigger for each gun/grenade and you can carry more than 2 weapons. My true grip with Halo is all of the GEEKS that will play it endlessly, know every nook and cranny and be able to kill me within a millisecond when I finally get a change to turn my 360 on after the game has already been out a week. That's real frustration, and I've already encountered it in the friggin' BETA.

maybe a little bit...but not "much" better i like metroid but it gets kind of boring IMO.
i never once played the game through again after i beat it...thats what makes halo games so good there multiplayer and online features put it above other FPS IMO...

LOl tahts unlucky SProdigy, because when i went on the beta i was liek *PHEW* *PHEW* for my first 10 games and finsihed generally first or second, its generally about reaction tiem and general knowlegde about FPS and how u hodl the controller. The Crab hold is very epic for Halo!

Time splitters has better controls(no wrestling with auto aim and fine aiming), Halo is based on fast paced FPS with "limited" controls it simply dose not aim like any other normal FPS and is dumbed down FPS control wise for the consoles,console gamers do not see the clunky aim and meandering auto aim as a problem I do since control in important in a FPS.

Another thing no button mapping makes it just that bit more of a pain if you aim with your left thumb, every other FPS on the Xbox aimed a bit better unless it was some slow WW"X"FP sim shooter.


Hell Metroid Prime is FPSs in the old style look at DOOM,Duke3D,Blood ,Quake 1-2,Unreal large adventure class levels gun and run FPSs like D3 and Quake 4 are only setting the genre back.

Despite my issues with control Halo is a solid FPS but the control issues annoy the hell out of me as dose it on Metroid prime,the adventure FPS controls do annoy me weapon polish and balancing couldn't hurt either, same for MP2 needs some polish and the smaller more complex level design was somewhat annoying.

They have KB&M adapters for the 360,PS2 and Xbox,Max shooter is the best but not on the 360 yet.

you have lil configuration ability but compared to a PC game that has button mapping but you can adjust speed and dead zones making it run rather smoothly.

when they work on the WIIs control some it can give near PC like precision thus why MP3 will be awesome :X

I dunno Halo 2 has more weapons but less balance,same for vehicles I really loved the Halo 1 vehicles an wish that was a option you could chose,also Halo 1 has a more developed story/plot/charatcers.


Devs are to focused on creating self important lil worlds to realize lil options and cheats can add a ton of fun and madness to the game.

halo 3 is worse than halo 2.im a sony kinda guy but my friends had an xbox and i friggin loved halo.it was so amazing but once i played the 2nd one i was pissed.the dual wield is gay the gameplay hasnt changed.then i also played the beta and its practically the same thing!it mite be the best selling game but it certainly wont be the best.the best of the hd games will be assasin's creed.

and also this will be the only half decent game on the 360.dont tell me gears of war cuz everyone does and its shit anyway.socom,resistance and motorstorm are wayyyyy better.

the thing is, this year, if you need an FPS multiplay fix, UT3 will overdose you, where as halo is a mild sedative compared to UT3.
and even now UT2k4, and CS:S is a much better MP FPS.

The dual weliding was not a problem it was just un polished,you should be able to keep at the least 3 weapons and change them around as needed(inventory menu where you can cycle through possible combos),and you should be able to dual wiled everythign but the sniper rifle(and the energy version) and the rocketluancher(and its energy version).

Halo 2 lacks a lot of polish and dual wilding is more a glitch than a feature...

I'm no fanboy for Sony or Microsoft. I never played Halo until I got a 360. But I played Halo, then Halo 2, and I really enjoyed the single player campaigns. I just recently got into Halo CE for the PC, and it's a fun game. I will probably buy Halo 3 sometime after launch because I enjoyed the first 2 games. I bet there are a lot of people who feel the same way. We're not all fanboys.
