Yahoo Unlimited Music set to close?

28 September 2007 9:07 by Andre "DVDBack23" Yoskowitz | 11 comments

Yahoo Unlimited Music set to close? According to a banner on its main portal web page Yahoo is notifying users that it will be shutting down its podcast service on October 31st and that it will have important news to tell customers, and possibly investors, tomorrow.

"Today we're planning some changes that also have our user and customer experiences in mind,"
reads a message on Yahoo's corporate blog from entertainment and video head Vince Broady, entitled, "Finding Focus in Hollywood. "We are streamlining the structure of one portion of our Santa Monica presence - our entertainment division - with a vision of offering a more integrated entertainment experience. That means we'll be creating more synergies between our music, games, movies, TV, and omg! properties, making them more personal and engaging for entertainment hounds."

The statement has many believing that Yahoo's Unlimited Music store will either be pared down or closed down entirely, with the company then moving those resources to Yahoo's free, ad-supported services.

More updates after Yahoo makes its statement.

Oy Clinton might suck depending on how much you read/know abotu him but at least hes not one of the worst presdints we've EVER had....

Face it between the repeal of personal rights to protect us from the "great unseen" and and the hidden inflation thats hurting the poor and middle class (5$ gallon of milk, what is the fcking world coming to) we are screwed untill all the dirty money is removed from washington and they will never stop lobbying regulation to protect large indutry from smaller indutry...

    Mmm-hmmm.
When all this hatred you're breeding comes back to bite you during Adolf Hillary's administration, I don't want to hear any whining about it.

Let's not forget that these 9/11 terrorist attacks happened 9 months into Bush's first administration and all the planning and flying lessons were all taking place while Big Bill Clinton was in office.
Including the attakcs on the Trade Center garage and the U.S.S Cole bombing in Yemen were all when Bill was in office. So realistically Bush in cleaning up Bill's mess. The only reason Hillary was to be Presidinet is to have her own intern affair and say to Bill " How does it feel", the other reason is she wanbts someone in the news media to say "First Lady Bill Clinton".

I dont see the problem in the direction Yahoo is taking this venture. I like the fact that its free however i hope it does not contain the rigid DRM factor.
