NBCU Chief criticizes Apple yet again over iTunes

In what is most likely an effort to bring publicity for its Hulu service NBC Universal chief Jeff Zucker has once again criticized Apple over its unwillingness to work with NBC on its iTunes platform.

Speaking at a benefit, Zucker claimed that in total, NBCU only made a measly $15 million USD off its video deal with iTunes and that it was not fair that Apple refused to share any iPod sale revenue with content providers.

"Apple sold millions of dollars worth of hardware off the back of our content and made a lot of money," Zucker said. "They did not want to share in what they were making off the hardware or allow us to adjust pricing."

Apple did not have any official comment yet on Zucker's latest rant.

What a friggin CRYBABY!!!!!!!. I don't agree with some of Apples policies (Note my reply about Apple refusing to sell iPhones for cash) but NBC is making money from sales that they never would have had in the first place if it wasn't for iTunes. As I stated before the TV show downloads most of the time cost more than buying the box set and are defective by design (DRM infested). In closing Zucker needs to get some CHEESE for his WHINE. Next they'll want a cut from hard drive sales and flash memory makers because they're making money because people store media files on these things, then lets not forget about the monitor and TV companies because they make money from people watching the media, and heck lets not forget the money made by the power companies because of the additional revenue from powering these devices.... And lets certainly not forget the goverments of the world who make money from hardware and power companies in the form of sales taxes from increased sales due to the media companies content... Oh and my landlord who makes money because I need a place to watch the content and my car company because I listen to my media in the car... maybe over the top but not far from the media maffia's dreams... I see NBC's/content providers point I mean the Ipod would be nothing without content songs, video etc. I see the point he is trying to make he just does it in a cry baby bs way that pisses me off. I mean Apple gets the profit from the sale of the Ipod hardware and then a slice of the revenue form the content they sell on Itunes..
