MySpace video to feature BBC video clips

In a new deal with the BBC, MySpace will be adding a number of the broadcaster's show's to thier MySpace Video site. In addition to watching them on the YouTube clone, the clips will also be available to MySpace members to embed in their personal pages. In return, the BBC will receive a cut of ad revenues. It's the first deal MySpace has made with a major television network.

"With the global nature of the deal, this is a great opportunity to put the best shows from the BBC in front of new audiences," Simon Danker, director of digital media for BBC Worldwide, said in a statement.

Jeff Berman, MySpace's executive vice president for marketing and content, said the deal "reflects a fast-approaching Internet future defined by co-operation between corporations."
