Demonoid tracker moves to Ukraine

17 March 2008 15:23 by Andre "DVDBack23" Yoskowitz | 12 comments

Demonoid tracker moves to Ukraine Despite the actual website still being down, the once very popular torrent Tracker Demonoid is back, and hosted in the Ukraine.

Back in June 2007, the site was taken down by the Dutch anti-piracy outfit BREIN but relocated to Canada. After just weeks in the new country though, threats from the CRIA shut down the site again, for what many thought was for good.

For now though, Demonoid torrents are working again at inferno.demonoid.com, hosted by the Ukrainian ISP Cocall Ltd.

There has been no word from the Demonoid admin team as of yet but we will keep you updated if there is.

    I whole-heartedly agree.

I found it as an insult when TPB invited Demonoid to the servers they set up. (However valiant of the TPB it was)

My guess is that they're trying to set it up so that when the demon does reoipen the whole world won't be knocking on the door. If they still have their database maybe they'll send out invites by email. Was never lucky/fortunate enough to get an invite

These torrent sites just blow me away! The media mafia is sueing the heck out of relitivly innocent dopes that are not careful with their penny-anti P2P software. Some of these torrent sites are in plane view just like any other web site. Yet the media mafia seem unable to do much more than make the monolythic giants move. Well Ben Franklin said laws are like cob webs they catch all the small flies but the big ones just blow through.

I am just curious as to how they do it. I am not asking for any secrets. Do they use garlic?

I guess the new site will be totally encrypted.
