Amazon has been pushing Kindle as if it's some form of success for a long time now, and it's all false. It's a marketing job. They've even created false sell-outs of the thing. They won't provide honest sales figures, and that should be your clue.

The truth is, people don't want to purchase it at such a high price. There were pages of complaints about this, but Amazon deleted all of that (including other negative feedback complaints) one day, and the next sent out e-mails declaring it a huge success.

These things cost more than a PS3, and everyone knows it takes them about $20 or less to make. They can put all of the book titles they want on the Kindle, and I will never be interested at such crazy prices.

Not to mention that you'll likely lose your book to Data Rights Management one day.
