Amazon starts new B2G1 promotion on Blu-ray discs

15 July 2008 20:04 by Andre "DVDBack23" Yoskowitz | 4 comments

Amazon starts new B2G1 promotion on Blu-ray discs Amazon has announced the start of a new "Buy 2, Get 1 Free" promotion on Blu-ray discs, and there is 109 titles available as part of the sale.

A few notable films are part of the deal, including "Shooter", "Mr & Mrs Smith", "3:10 to Yuma", and "Kingdom of Heaven" among other hit films of the last 20 years. All of the Blu-ray titles on sale are either $20.95 USD or $27.95 and if you purchase any two, you get a third one free, the cheapest of the three you have selected.

If you intend to purchase two of the cheaper titles, then including the third free one, the total for each film is $14 USD, a very reasonable price for HD media and only a few dollars more expensive then their standard definition counterparts.

You can view all the titles available here: Amazon B2G1 promotion.

Not bad, although it was nicer when BOGOs were the norm instead of B2G1. There are some nice titles on the list though. :)

Yeah, i still like the original BOGO.

There are some decent titles here...may have to take them up on this offer. :)

Wow these are some super inflated prices for terrible movies. Notice how you can buy them used for 1/2 to 1/3 of the sale price, it's right there under the title. Come on Bulletproof Monk, Ultimate Force, Chain Reaction with Keanu Reeves. They couldn't give these away. I also like how the titles that list for around 30 are reduced to just above 20 and the ones that list for 40 are just around 28. These are some serious super savings.

If people are having trouble coughing up an average of $25 for a single bluray, wouldn't the BOGO make more sense?
