Awesome, I made sure I logged in and changed my plan immediately, as it still had me down for the $12.95 plan.

In 1997 I streamed unlimited amounts of music from Napster for free. :)

Isn't this Napster not even related to the original Napster? I thought when they got shut down, some completely different company just bought their trademark and name.

Hell, if i didn't know any better, you would think that Micro$oft and Napster were the same company doing the same thing at the time. Coincidence, i think not!! It's a conspiracy i tell you . . . - BLUEBOY

Well... depending on the monthly plan, you get X number of credits to download DRM free MP3s.
Napster is still centered around Microsoft's "Plays For Sure" which is a broken DRM format, so $5 isn't so bad afterall! ;-)

Napster was sold to Roxio, which then sold it's E-Z CD Creator software division to Sonic Solutions the last time I heard about 3 years ago...

Thanks cousinkix for the link as I'd wondered what the new macaroni-er napster was about. $5 for 30 second clips and mostly mainstream music, not interesting. How about Emusic?
