New iPad will have camera, USB port, be lighter

thats why i didn't buy the first ipad. =]
because the next one comes with all the features the first one lacked.

Lighter? So we won't be able to call the new iPad a maxiPad? Aw.

But it still won't have multitasking, flash or an SD slot... Keep up the good work Steve.

They do have multitasking now...it is not as free as Android, but at least you can listen to music while reading the newspaper now.

I think that when apple makes their AIO-TV, we should call that the Maxi-Pad. Heck, Apple is so clueless they might do that for us!

Ah man, I saw "lighter" and was thinking cigarette lighter. Then it truly would have been an all-in-one for me.

I like my iPhone but don't understand what an iPad is for. But I bet that the future USB functionality will be limited to Crapple approved devises and restrictions. Iwonder if future iPhones will have a USB port?

Funny isn't it? Apple has been around since the 80's, has a following like a religion, and yet is still inferior to the likes of the Android OS and its multitasking capabilities.

On top of that, Apple released a product that was outdated BEFORE they released it to the public. Case in point, no multitasking, flash, SD slot, camera, usb, etc. Then they plan to release a new outdated machine with some of the missing features from the first.

Joe Blow, who ran to the stores to purchase the first Ipad, will go and buy the new one, and again repeat the process when they release another (when they add more features). The pattern will repeat itself, why? Because consumers these days are stupid. Plain and simple. They allow themselves to be duped by the same company over several purchases of the same product with added features here and there. You ask why Steve Jobs does what he does? It's because he can, and he knows that idiots will flock to his stores and fall for this unethical business practice. It's your money, you know the money that some of you actually work hard for, maybe even sweat for. Demand more. Demand better products. How? Quit supporting the revolving door of these business practices.

Sorry if I hit a nerve, but if I did. your probably one of the consumers who need a wake up call.

I completely see where you guys are coming from with the whole "crapple hold back on features and then include them in later models to make CA$H" however I have had every iPhone ever made and got it on it's release date on contract. (I ignore the contract cost, because I would have to spend that money on any phone with contract I get). But when I have come to sell each one so far I have been able to unlock it and sell it for more than the next generation one is on contract, making a profit and getting the latest apple product! :D. I mean I'm no apple fan boy and think I have a balance apple/Microsoft products (xbox 360/windows pc and iPhone/hackintosh). For me the fact that they release a better model every year is actually quite nice, because it means the previous model is still worth a bit and provides a hefty discount off the new model if you partex it or just sell it (you get even more if you can unlock it :P), unlike other companies products where older models are worth peanuts as they are not supported and are considered rubbish.

Ok I admit I didn't fall for the 1st generation iPad this time and I'm glad, because this one has a camera and USB like I said it would (hopefully when it is jailbroken we shall see some really nice features for it as well), I really don't see that it is such a big problem for you guys, because when apple does this you can always sell the previous model, so you either get a profit on upgrading it it can be unlocked or only spend 30 odd quid on upgrading. :)
