'Watch Dogs' will be PS4 launch title

Ubisoft has announced that its expected blockbuster open-world title 'Watch Dogs' will reach North American shores on November 19th.
The game will be available for the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and on PC at that date. European gamers will have to wait until the 22nd.

Additionally, the PlayStation 4 version will be available as a launch title for the new console, whatever date that happens to be in November.

Finally, Ubisoft says the game will be headed to "other next generation consoles," as well, giving next-gen Xbox fans some hope that they will get a crack at the game this year.

Here is one trailer for the game:

Looks like a hot game. With the "next gen" consoles, I am sure the graphics would be a little better than what I see in the trailer.

Yes, it's hardly an exclusive.

Playing this game I wonder what the difference between this gen and the next gen of consoles will be.... 720p vs 1080p?

Well, since graphics aren't likely to make the jump to 4K any time soon, the differences you'll see between current- and next-gen games will likely be more about things like extended shadow and light processing, tessellation, and so on, which improve the image without affecting resolution.

I gotta be honest, it'll prolly still play best on PC if you have the tech to support max settings. But again the onus would be on Ubisoft to allow us to control Anti-Aliasing, Tethering and so forth. If it's just a port of the console versions, it would kind of blow. Either or, I sure I not alone when I say there are high expectations.

I do agree with that but I was referring to these games in particular as they will be on both the old and new platforms. Can't see them going the distance to adding that many new or extra effects so I figure the only real diff would be 720p to 1080p.

Too bad it's Ubisoft. I wouldn't touch anything they did with a 10' pole and you pushing.

Confused... Are they making a cartoon or a movie?
