This don't surprise me at all hell most of these Movies get all there money at the Box office during the first month.

dvdrip, dvdscr, and tc are all different.

sometimes groups label really good tc's as screeners just to get more hype for their release. hell iv seen ts's good enough to pass as a dvd it just depends on the cammer or the equipment they are using.

i wonder if wired actually compared the supposed dvd rips online with the actually screeners to see if they matched to weed out all the falsely labeled tc's in the bunch.

anyone remember when they released king kong on a wednesday and by the weekend there were multiple dvd quality ts's on the scene? i hope sipdey 3 gets the same treatment.

Nah, Spiderman 3 will actually be worth the money to go see in the theater, if you're into going there like I am.

It's movies like Astronaut Farmer that make you wonder. Why would anyone pay $8 or more per ticket to go see that trash? Or a movie like the Good Shepard, a lame movie that works off the reputation of Damon and Jolie? It's the duds like these that Hollywood should weed out.

Because of the inflated prices, entrepreneurs such as Mark Cuban and Vince McMahon (WWE films) have been able to produce one or two low-budget films that rake in huge profits. It's safer for these venture capitalists to fund a movie that nets 5x the cost then to put there money elsewhere. They take advantage of the system Hollywood created.

This should give you the real feel of current Hollywood. If it wasn't so bloated, there wouldn't be as much piracy. People shouldn't have to feel that they are "taking a chance" to pay their hard-earned money to see a film. Instead, piracy supports most of these studios, as most people would not be exposed to most movies without it.

File sharing has become the same vehicle that direct-to-video was. In fact, it's easier than going to the video store and you avoid the late fees.

A lot of these screeners are fake anyway and the seeders ISP lead right back to a company connected to the studio. If you see a torrent with something like 1500 seeders, avoid it like the plague. It'll download to about 90% and stop and then the 'seeder' harvests the ISP addresses....unless you use a filter or peer guardian that is. I hardly bother with the public trackers anymore.

Maybe its the people who KNOW they are ripping off the consumer big time !
