Honeywell introduces 82-inch LCD HDTV Soyo, under its Honeywell brand, has announced the 82-inch Altura LE LCD HDTV with an expected launch date in April for the US market.
The TV has full HD 1080p resolution as well as a brightness rating of 600cd/m2 and a large 120,000:1 contrast ratio. The Altura LE will weigh 300 pounds and has a 120Hz refresh rate and 178-degree viewing angles.

As for inputs, the LCD will have three HDMI, two component video inputs, and one VGA, one composite and one S-video connection. Picture-In-Picture comes standard and the TV includes two 10W speakers.

There was no word on pricing yet.

Sweet were back to TVs you can't move yourself. I wonder if it comes with a wall mount and I'm sure that they would want you to find four studs and a load bearing wall. I still want one. Then I could put my 40 inch in my bedroom.

I think for a TV that big it should have a hellova lot more inputs. And 300 pounds, wow, lol.

You may first need to buy the TV and then build a room around it!

I would not even think of wall mounting the unit nor put it in on a carpeted floor. One might just need a floor mount with hospital bed size castors.
