Spotify app approved by Apple Apple has approved the Spotify application today, meaning the service will be hitting the App Store soon.
European users must pay a 10 euro monthly subscription and in return receive unlimited streaming of over 8 million songs via Wi-Fi or 3G for iPhone users.

The app took about a month to hit approval although Apple normally takes 2 weeks for "95 percent" of the apps, sparking some criticism that the company was not allowing the app because it might hurt iTunes sales.

Some people might like it but why would u put a different store within your own store???

As a business owner would you do that?

They did it because if they didn't they'd get even more criticism and the App Store boat is about to sink as it is. As apps are the only reason anyone would buy the iPhone Apple have to avoid any more blunders (which they won't).
