Zune HD hits Canada, lacks Marketplace

Written by Andre Yoskowitz @ 20 Feb 2011 6:03 User comments (14)

Zune HD hits Canada, lacks Marketplace Microsoft has confirmed this weekend that the Zune HD is now available in Canada, years after its launch in the United States.
However, the Zune Music Marketplace is not available as a choice, yet, even though the video store is available.

It is unclear when the licensing issues will be corrected.

Available via Zune Originals, the 16GB model is $170 and the 32GB version is $200.

Canada is now the second country to get the Zune HD, as Microsoft has moved most of its development towards Windows Phone 7.

Isn't this just typical of living in Canada. Not only do we get things very late, but we get the "gimped out" version of all technologies/electronics. Most of the time most tech won't even come to Canada at all. Oh it's great to be Canadian :D.

Well, at least your dollar is strong, people are good, government is much more noble and has more integrity than the U.S. and less people littering your country.

The problem is that they don't get to take advantage of the crummy overpriced zune music pass with a canadian credit card.

Uh no, no its not... We have just as much corrupted government as anywhere else; come to Canada if you want to get away with white collar crimes, especially in parliament.

As for the Zune, meh.

Of that I can agree, depending on what city/town you go and what district, at least the product you paying for has a chance to be cleaner.
