Nvidia will 'redefine the future of gaming' on March 3rd NVIDIA has sent out press invites for an event on March 3rd in which the company will show off a device/service that is "5 years in the making" that will "redefine the future of gaming."
It is unclear what the product will be, but there is a chance that the company will unveil a sequel to the powerful Nvidia Shield or Nvidia Shield Tablet.

Nvidia recently announced their Tegra X1 chipset and its ridiculous specs and any new device will likely feature the chipset. The X1 has a NVIDIA Maxwell 256-core GPU, 64-bit ARM CPU, H.265 video decoding and 4K playback at up to 60fps.

Of course, the event may not unveil a tablet or gaming handheld but there is a good chance that it will.

We will know more on March 3rd.

it's just a new nvidia shield they have been showing off prototypes for months

A new shield would be great.....a tablet form however i'm just not interested.

Total failure!

NVidia should stick with what they know.......graphics. Nothing more, nothing less.

The Shield is a waste. Who really needs a game console by their side everywhere at home?? For those losers that need access to gaming every minute of everyday, they should look into a Match.com subscription because they need girlfriends.

And to add insult to injury, it's an Android based unit. Android just sucks and is insecure and slow.

While this claims you can "take on the go", I highly doubt it works very well. It's still in Beta, so this pretty much satisfies those that want to continue playing games while taking a dump in the bathroom. WASTE (no pun intended)

REQUIRES NVidia graphics card. Sorry but while their cards are pretty dope, AMD has equally great cards but with better and easier to install drivers. Catalyst is way better than anything NVidia has ever had.

You need 5MBps upstream so there goes anyone using this on ATT Uverse or any other company besides Comcast.

This is a classic item for dorks and nerds.

When I game, I sit down and play.....no Shield needed. Total gimmick.

Thankyou!

but you know sometimes my dorky ass just wants to game on the sofa, as opposed to gaming in my leather executives chair. sure i could drag the couch from the living area up the 30 steps and into "the command room" but who has time for all the back breaking work.

The shield should have been standalone.... cloud gaming tends to suck dirty donkey balls.

Never been my experience.
Sure AMD/ATI cards have always vied with Nvidia over performance/costs but their drivers were always buggy & less able.
Everyone of the Nvidia cards I ever had (& there's been quite a few now) were rock solid performers.
I just can't say the same for the handful of ATI/AMD cards I was persuaded to buy.

Nope ADM is pretty wishy washy only randomly do they preform better and that comes at the cost of being buggy on a few other games.... Tho the cruse of ATI has diminished it still lives on...
