Nero CD/DVD Speed is a CD-ROM / DVD-ROM / DVDR drive benchmark which can test the most important features of an optical drive.

Tests include:
-Transfer rate
-Seek times
-CPU usage
-Burst rate
-DAE quality
-Transfer rate
-Spinup/spindown time

Useful for testing your drives, or testing drives before buying. Also usable for testing CD-R media quality. The homepage has a database of drives' test results.

@neewbie Obviously, you don't understand that software is continually updated to keep up with advances, in this case new firmware for cd/dvd players/burners and newer disks always come out - hence the need for the newer software to keep up with the times.

isnt there a nero drive speed and more on the nero oem bundle. there is on mine. so whats the point of this software?
