CCCP (Combined Community Codec Pack) is a filter pack specifically built for playing anime. It has been assembled by some of the most knowledgeable people in the anime world, and one of the primary design goals is to play as much as possible with as little as possible. The CCCP attempts to be as unintrusive on your system as possible.

What really impressed was the way this software installed. It looks for priviously installed codecs that may cause conflict and unintalls them. Then it installs. Some people may misunderstand what this codec really does when reading the introduction here at Afterdawn. This codec has everything you'll need to encode or decode audio/video on your computer. H264 playback, MKV, Divx, Xvid all playback flawlessly when using MPC or TheKMPlayer. Highly recommended. This codec may have been written with anime in mind, but I assure you it plays just about everything else just as well.
