ShowShifter v3.12.2945

ShowShifter is a real all-in-one package with clear user interface for audio and video users.

Program combines multiple tools into one package -- most common features like DVD and MP3 playback are there as well as some more advanced features. One of the most interesting features is the possibility to easily convert any existing video file into another format (like DivX to MJPEG and so on).

But the real good stuff is for those who own TV capture cards (either digital or analog TV cards). ShowShifter allows TV card owners to (obviously) capture TV shows and "pause" live TV shows. Nicest thing is probably the possibility to use any existing CODEC in capturing.

Program is not bad at all - impressive capture quality..while i can never get the sound to work on my tv card without using the ati TV on Demand mode..i cant say how the sound quality is though thats not really as big a deal as the vid quality which seems good. Im not really a big fan of the GUI but its an overall impressive studio...the only thing is - After installing this i lost all sound on my computer! i had to use system restore to get it back..be careful about deactivating codecs if it asks you!

This seems like like a good program. Captured TV Programs are very good quality. The comprssion setting seem a bit confusing but other than very good software. I wish it was freeware.

This software package is amazing! I originally got it because I wanted to capture video through my ATI video capture card at 640x480 resolution, and the software that came with my card only supported up to 320x240. What I got certainly accomplished that and more! This software basically turns your computer into a Tivo machine! It allows you to pause live TV, record your favorite TV programs, save in multiple formats, etc... It works with TitanTV, a free web-based TV program guide, to help you find and schedule recordings of your favorite shows! The only thing it doesn't have is a remote control, and even that is available for ordering seperately! If you have a video capture card, you've GOT to try this!
