Samsung has posted the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich source code for the Galaxy S II, letting developers have an easier go at making custom ROMs.
The company just recently started updating the phone, so the release has come as a surprise to the Android dev community. Samsung has also released the source code for the last three versions of Android 2.3 Gingerbread in the past.
For now, the ICS source-code will only be relevant to those in the Korean and European markets, as large markets like the UK and US have not received the update yet.
The source code comes with the company's TouchWiz UI, but interested parties should be able to strip it.
